It was almost sunrise and I was definitely lost and alone ...
I had hiked a bit too far out into the deep playa of the Black Rock Desert.
The year was 2009, and this was my first Burning Man, the same year after my first EDC.
With the incoming day rising above the sand, I couldn't see the shine of the neon city any longer ...
I squinted my eyes to the glare of the sun.
What was that? There was a round sphere popping up over on the horizon ...
I could hear the sub-bass pumping across the salt flats from the landmark.
I walked towards it and it led me back to the Black Rock City Civilization of Burning Man: Evolution.
When I arrived back on the Esplanade, I found out that it was a sound camp called "Roots Society" and it was hosted inside a large dome!
This is when I started my obsession with domes and their benefits for survival in harsh conditions.
As I walked back to my camp, I saw a large sign at Center Camp that someone had painted that said:
Evolution only happens through cooperation, not competition.
That always resonated with me, and I vowed to return to this place with a whole crew of awesome people.
The next year, I brought Kahu and some friends to Burning Man 2010: Metropolis, after his first EDC.
We also brought our own dome and hosted parties all week right next to the Temple of Boom, as a part of our RE:Birth Village.
(We were so close to coming up with PLURTH back then haha!)

When we were at Burning Man in 2011: Rites of Passage, Kahu and I thought that if it was fun to party out in the desert, it would be 10x more fun to party somewhere that was lush and hospitable.
If a city could be built for a week on the salt flats of Nevada, couldn't we built a permanent one closer to civilization and use it as a model and prototype for sustainable infrastructures?
We thought, what if you took the vibe of Burning Man, mixed it with EDC and Tomorrowland, poshed it up a bit like Coachella and delivered it in the package of a world-class, five-star resort?
Our plan is to use music as a means to save the world and live up to its promise as the only thing that can bring us all together as one human people ...

So, what does PlurthONEarth actually look like?
PLURTH will Be the World's First Music Festival Resort, Built like a Fully-Functioning Sustainable City.
The resort will be very similar to a university campus, without all the boring classes. Instead, it will be designed for the best party ambiance ever!

Please be aware that only a professional architect will be able to design the exterior cladding necessary to make it more 'realistic' looking. Even though it's still in a basic form, imagine this place lit up at night, with the domes automatically changing colors, dancing in the night sky ...
The First Location (Out of Many) will be Built in Colorado, USA ...
Kahu is originally from Denver, Colorado and took me to my first Red Rocks show in 2010 for Pretty Lights, and I fell in love with that area!
Red Rocks is one of the most beautiful venues in the world, but unfortunately, the surrounding community is not very supportive of bass-heavy dance music.
Our resort will take the strain of loud music off of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where noise ordinances have limited its ability to host EDM shows. The buildings used as entertainment venues at our resort will be soundproof to the outside.
Plurth Festival Resort, Colorado will be close to many of the world's best snowboard & ski mountains, and we'll also provide complimentary Tesla transportation for all guests.
Yes, that is an all-weather pool enclosure dome on the property. It'll be snowing outside and PLURTH Resort will be hosting pool parties for New Year's Eve!
An underground network of heated access to the entire campus will also be built underneath the property for the wintertime.
Subsequent resort locations will lean towards tropical, urban and snow resort destinations. Each of these destinations will be customized to the local culture and weather.

What's a Monolithic Dome?

Every building on the resort campus will be a monolithic dome. This is because they're 100% fire-proof, earthquake-proof, hurricane-proof, tornado-proof, and radiation-proof.
In fact, one of the only buildings to survive the Hiroshima nuclear attack was a dome.
Our resort can also be utilized as a disaster-protection shelter for the surrounding community.
Not to mention, they're also 75% more efficient than regular square buildings. That means it takes far less energy to heat and cool them.
